Under the acceptance of Governor of State Bank of Vietnam, Board of Managers of SeABank appointed Ms. Le Thu Thuy – Vice Chairwoman cum The first Deputy General Director to be CEO of SeABank since May 10th, 2018.
The appointment of Ms. Le Thu Thuy was carried out in accordance with the law, ensuring publicity and transparency, with high consensus from the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, Board of Directors and SeABank's employees. This also marks a strategic change at SeABank to strengthen management and governance across the system.
Ms. Le Thu Thuy was born in 1983 with 10 years experience at SeABank and other international financial - banking groups. At SeABank, she worked at many positions before she was appointed to be the Vice Chairwoman of BOD.
She has made many big imprints on SeABank's shift to modern retail banking model with diversified products/services. She was also the person who connected and developed the strategic cooperation relationship with top domestic corporations.
With efforts and values to contribute to development of SeABank in particular and the banking sector in general, Ms. Le Thu Thuy has been granted many awards such as: Certificate of merit by Governor of State Bank of Vietnam; “Most Active Banking Leader of the year 2016”, “Best Young Woman Banking Leader Vietnam 2016” by International Finance Magazine (United Kingdom), “Best Young Banking Leader Vietnam 2014” by Global Banking & Fianance Review, “Top 10 Young Entrepreneur of generation next” bu Forbes.
At the same time, Ms. Le Thu Thuy has been also awarded “Outstanding Vietnamese young entrepreneur 2014” by Vietnam Young Entrepreneur Association, certificate of merit for achievements in emulation movement in 2014 of Enterprise Sector by Hanoi People’s Comittee.
In 2017, Ms. Le Thu Thuy was voted as young promising banking leader by The Asian Banker. Especially, in September 2017, Ms. Le Thu Thuy was awarded “ASEAN outstanding women entrepreneur” by ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Network (AWEN) and was the only one who was granted Legacy Award (Country Awards) to recognize her contribution to develop Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region and country.
