SeABank reached the profit of VND 457 billion for the year 2008

At the end of the fiscal year 2008, despite the context of difficulties in financial banking field, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank- SeABank still keeps the stable development growth and reaches the pre-tax profit of VND 457 billion, increasing 12% in comparison with that of year 2007

As at December 31st, 2008, SeABank’s chartered capital is over VND 4068 billion, equivalent to 136% that of year 2007. Total assets is nearly VND 22797 billion, total mobilized fund is VND 16726 billion, loan balance is over VND 19764 billion and the number of customers is nearly 51000 nationwide.

Up to now, SeABank has owned nearly 70 transaction points in key areas nationwide, in which 29 transaction points were opened in 2008. Especially, in 2008, the bank’s international settlement has gained optimistic result with the service fee of nearly VND 16 billion, equivalent to 232% that of year 2007

According to Mr. Le Van Chi- SeABank’s CEO, the operation of financial banking organization has faced up with a lot of difficulties due to the global economic crisis as well as inflation. Last year BOM together with SeABank’s staff has tried the best to bring out new products & services, upgrading quality in order to maintain the stable and effective development growth, limit risk and provide customers with high-quality, safe and convenient products

From the half of 2008, SeABank has officially issued debit card named S24+ and has gained optimistic result. As at the end of December, 2008, the total cards issued were 15.359 and the ATM were 30 all over the country. In the near future, SeABank will launch more new card products such as international credit card for businessmen, credit card for the young…Moreover, SeABank will add more benefits for the one who uses card services such as online transaction, overdraft service, point bonus …with the aim to provide the customers with the most multi-function, safe and convenient card.
